Hang on a minute; Broken Restful Sleep?
Those words don't go together, but that's exactly what happened last night.
Poor sleep had been just the 'norm' over the past 14 years, pain, medication, worry, stress, etc. I had more broken nights than good.
We've been using the Lavender oil by doTERRA and mixing it with Balance Oil as part of our bedtime routine, info sheets below:
These were mixed in equal parts.
How we use this "Bedtime Blend":
- Diffuse by the bed an hour before bed
- 2 drops in palm, rub into wrists, temples
- Cup hands, take 5 deep breathes
The benefits we've found have been, waking after a 6-8 hour sleep fully refreshed and calm throughout the day.
Last night, we had a chippy tea quite late in the evening with our little lad in front of the TV. A rare treat in our busy home. I drifted off in my arm chair for 90 minutes.

An hour later I climbed into bed after applying the drops, I last saw 04:00 and woke about 09:00.
Yet, today I've felt well rested and totally calm. it's now 23:55 and I'm winding down for the night to spend some time relaxing with my incredible wife-to-be.
This has been an extraordinary day, I've achieved twice the amount of tasks I set out and didn't feel tired until around 23:00, about when I normally turn off the tech and take some time to talk with Lizzie.
So there you have it, trouble sleeping, you don't have to settle for it anymore.
